Who will make it to the Final 3 on “The X Factor Philippines”!

Only four finalists remain in “The X Factor Philippines” and by the end of the week, the final three acts who will compete in the finale will be named.

Who among the remaining four finalists— KZ Tandingan and Allen Sta. Maria of the Girls, Gabriel Maturan of the Boys, and Daddy’s Home of the Groups— will make it to the much-awaited grand finals on Oct 6 and 7? It’s a battle for survival this Saturday (Sep 29) as the final four take their last shot at the finals singing songs from their musical heroes.

Allen will summon the Willow Smith in her while teammate KZ will take on a Chris Brown hit. Gabriel, on the other hand, will dare to do Justin Bieber while Daddy’s Home will sing Journey.

Will your bets make it to the finals? Last week, judge-mentor Martin Nievera bid goodbye to one of his mentees Jeric Medina, who got the boot via a deadlock. Jeric got the lowest number of text votes as opposed to Daddy’s Home, who joined him in the bottom two. Be sure to save your favorites from being in the bottom two by voting for them this Saturday night (Sept 29).

Vote after their performances by texting XFGAB/ALLEN/KZ/DAD and send it to 2331 for Globe and Sun subscribers and 231 for Smart and Talk ‘n Text subscribers. Don’t miss the country’s biggest and grandest musical event of the year, “The X Factor Philippines,” with KC Concepcion as host, airing every Saturday, after “MMK,” and every Sunday, after “Sarah G Live” on ABS-CBN.

Zac Efron arrives in the Philippines, went to Legaspi for a short R&R!

Hollywood A-list movie star Zac Efron (The Lucky One, 17 Again, High School Musical series) arrived in the Philippines today, Sept. 26 from Los Angeles, CA.

The 24-year old arrived mid-morning and was discreetly transferred from a commercial flight to a private plane headed to Legazpi City, an hour away by flight south of Manila.
Zac reportedly flew in with his father David Efron, manager Jason Barrett, and Hollywood photographer Darren Tieste for a brief holiday at Misibis Bay Resorts as personal guests of Bicolano tycoon Zaldy Co. He is scheduled to appear before a huge crowd of fans on September 29, 2012 at the Mall of Asia ARENA for the event PENSHOPPE Fan Conference 2012.
In recent years Zac continues to add impressive movie roles under his belt, with each project getting more challenging each time. Since his early days doing musical flicks, he has crossed over to light romantic comedies (17 Again, New Year’s Day), to more dramatic and mature roles (Charlie St. Cloud and The Lucky One). More recently, he starred alongside heavyweights Matthew McConaughey, John Cusack and Nicole Kidman in the period drama The Paperboy, and was recently at the Toronto International Film Festival for the film At Any Price with Dennis Quaid.
The star shows sincere excitement as he visits the country for the first time. “Well, first of all this trip is an amazing, amazing excuse to go to the Philippines. I have always wanted to visit the Philippines. My dad who has been to your country several times has been telling me great stories about it,” he shares.
Tune in to GMA-7 and GMA News TV Channel 11 for more updates on Zac Efron’s first trip to the Philippines.

ABS-CBN Documentary About Juan Ponce Enrile Airs this Sunday!

Why did Juan Ponce Enrile turn against President Marcos? What does he know about the assassination ofBenigno ‘Ninoy’ Aquino and the human rights violations during the Martial Law period?

Senate President Enrile will address decades-old controversies and bare his life story to Filipinos for the first time in a special two-hour documentary that will tackle the roles he played in the country’s tumultuous history that will air this Sunday (Sept 23) on ABS-CBN.

To mark the 40th anniversary of the declaration of martial law, ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs will go behind the scenes and walk through the corridors of power with Enrile to attempt to answer questions that have been in the public’s consciousness for years.

Get the facts straight from the people who have encountered, worked and clashed with the man who has always been eyed with suspicion and regarded with fear for being the defense minister during the Martial Law regime and for allegedly plotting a coup against the late President Cory Aquino. Despite this, history also saw him as the EDSA Revolution hero who helped oust the Marcos regime 26 years ago and the judicious presiding judge of the Senate impeachment court that convicted Chief Justice Renato Corona drew raves from supporters and critics alike.

At 88, Enrile insists distortions of Philippine history must be corrected before he retires.

What part of history needs to be changed? Who is the real Juan Ponce Enrile? Is a hero or a heel? Don’t miss “Johnny: The Juan Ponce Enrile Story” this Sunday (Sept 23) in Sunday’s Best after “Gandang Gabi Vice” on ABS-CBN.
