Get to know TARP : Football brothers – Armand and Anton del Rosario!

Azkals fans would love to see the athletic booters take home the bacon in this competition as Armand and Anton looked like they were born for the type of tough tasks that await them on the show.

But just because the Fil-Spanish siblings have all the brawn doesn’t mean they don’t have the brains to handle the mental challenges. Anton, for one, has a Business Administration degree from the Notre Dame Namur University in California.

Rock trio Malay signs with Universal Records!

Since three years ago, rock trio Malay, composed of Pochoy Labog on guitars and lead vocals, Alden Abaca on drums, and Miguel Dayanghirang on bass and vocals, has been hailed as one of the independent music circuit’s most promising acts with their distinct sound that is reminiscent of the 90’s grunge and alternative fused with hints of pop, rap, blues, hip-hop and soul.

“For three years, we have been jamming, making music and performing as an independent band – taking care of both the artistic and business side of music,” says Pochoy, who started his career as frontman of the now-disbanded Dicta License. “We have learned so much from those times, and we feel that we’re now ready to take things to the next level.”

Malay has just inked a recording deal with the country’s number one record label Universal Records, joining the ranks of famed bands Parokya Ni Edgar, Sponge Cola, Kamikazee, Callalily and solo acts like Gary Valenciano, Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez, Christian Bautista, Jaya, Kuh Ledesma, Noel Cabangon, JayR, Sam Concepcion, Emmanuelle, Richard Poon, and Gloc-9.

“With the help of Universal Records, we can focus on just making music, finally,” quips the host of ABS-CBN current affairs Ako Ang Simula Pochoy. “We also expect to reach a bigger audience with the machinery they have. All together, we’re pumped and excited for the next release.”

Malay’s first mainstream album is set to be released in early 2013. Malay also joined the roster of artists of Orion Entertainment, headlined by Noel Cabangon and ably supported by the most promising acts in local entertainment industry Kimpoy Feliciano, Jordan Bautista, Jensen Gomez, Jason Fernandez and bands She’s Only Sixteen, Runmanila, and Aspen Way. Orion Entertainment is also the international agent of Sam Concepcion, Karylle, Sponge Cola and JayR.

There’s no stopping the heart-racing, adrenaline-rushing, premiere of the much-awaited reality game show on Philippine TV, “Extra Challenge.” Witness the biggest change on weekend TV viewing tonight, Oct. 27.

Hosts Richard Gutierrez and Marian Rivera are sure to leave the audience at the edge of their seats as they welcome, together with Boobay, the first set of challengers in the exciting opening of “Extra Challenge.”

“Precious Hearts Romances presents Paraiso,” the story of two different peole stranded in an Island Paradise!

The country’s new desirable love team, Jessy Mendiola and Matteo Guidicelli, puts its chemistry to test as they team up for the first time on television to make your afternoon sizzle in ABS-CBN’s newest teleserye Precious Hearts Romances presents Paraiso premiering on November 5 (Monday) on Kapamilya Gold.

“Matteo is very professional and sweet. Ngayon ko lang siya nakatrabaho and honestly, I am very excited,” Jessy said.

Matteo, on the other hand, seems to have been captivated by her leading lady and looks forward to getting to know her better on and off cam.

“Jessy and I have a great working relationship together. I feel like she’s a deep person that makes me more interested in knowing her,” Matteo said.

In the tradition of bringing compelling dramas on passionate love, Precious Hearts Romances (PHR) once again opens its pages and tells the story about two different people who will find paradise in each other’s arms after being stranded in an uninhabited island for months.

PHR presents Paraiso follows the story of Yanie (Jessy Mendiola), a street smart and resourceful young woman who wants to alleviate her family from poverty, and Brennan, a rich married man who wants to prove his worth to his father.

A tragedy suddenly strikes in the middle of the vast ocean. The ship they’re on capsizes and the two find themselves washed ashore on a small, unoccupied island. They start off on the wrong foot but Yanie and Brennan have no choice but to depend on each other to survive. This draws them closer together and unexpectedly paves the way for them to fall in love.

They have found paradise in each other, but it will be short-lived as authorities come to their rescue. The two part ways and face the lives they temporarily left. Brennan finds himself dealing with his marital problems with his wife Meagan (Jewel Mische), who is having a hard time conceiving a child, while Yanie starts anew after a loss in her family and gets comfort in her best friend Justin (Matt Evans).

What will they do when fate brings them together once again? Will they still feel the same way about each other? How much are they willing to give up to experience paradise once again in each other’s arms?

Also included in the cast of Precious Hearts Romances Presents Paraiso are Arron Villaflor, Bodjie Pascua, Juan Rodrigo, Ina Feleo, Dionne Monsanto, Angel Jacob, Jessica Conelly, Paco Evangelista, Marissa Sanchez, Gary Lim, Alex Castro, Justine Cuyugan, Wendy Tabusalla, Idda Yaneza, Guji Lorenzana, Kathleen Hermosa, Maliksi Morales, Pamu Pamorada, Ms. Evangeline Pascual and Ms. Ces Quesada. This is directed by Rechie Del Carmen, Connie Macatuno and Nico Hernandez.
