Boy Abunda climbs Mt. Galalan just to interview Filipinas Ginete on “The Bottomline”!

In celebration of the third anniversary of “The Bottomline With Boy Abunda,” 2012 PMPC Best Public Affairs host Boy Abunda climbs a Mt. Galalan in Pangil, Laguna this Saturday (December 1) as he visits Teacher Filipina Ginete, a former nun who has been climbing the mountain for 15 years to teach public school children who did not have the opportunity to study in the city.

“Ina Kapatid Anak” beats pilot episode of “Pahiram ng Sandali”!

ABS-CBN’s top caliber family drama series, “Ina Kapatid Anak” topbilled by Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Enchong Dee and Maja Salvador trounced its newest rival program in GMA by almost 16 points.

Based on the data from Kantar Media on Monday (November 26), “Ina Kapatid Anak” garnered 32.9% national TV ratings, while the pilot episode of its latest competition “Pahiram ng Sandali” only got 17.5%. The Kapamilya series also ruled its timeslot last Friday (November 23) with 31.9% national TV ratings, or almost 14 points higher than the final episode of “Coffee Prince: Pinoy Version” which only got 18.2%.

Meanwhile, the plot of “Ina Kapatid Anak” continues to thicken now that Julio (Ariel Rivera) already found Teresa (Cherry Pie Picache). Will this be the start of more heated confrontations between their families? Will Teresa be forced to reveal Celyn’s (Kim) real identity or will she keep on hiding it?

Carmina Villaroel’s “Perfect Gift” in Wanapanataym this Saturday!

After getting her ‘perfect gift’ from her husband Zoren Legaspi through their grand mob wedding, seasoned actress and TV host Carmina Villaroel will give the TV viewers a special kind of present this Saturday (December 1) as she topbills the Christmas countdown special of ABS-CBN’s top-rating fantasy-drama anthology “Wansapantaym.

In an episode titled ‘Perfect Gift,’ Carmina will give life to the role of Joanna, a woman who did not experience a beautiful childhood. Because of her parents’ shortcomings when she was still young, Joanna did everything while growing up so she can to give everything that her son asks for. Despite of the expensive toys and clothes that she has provided, will Joanna realize the greater importance of giving time for her own son?

Together with Carmina in the ‘Perfect Gift’ episode Jeffrey Santos, Carlos Agassi, Yogo Singh, Janica Pareño, Harvy Bautista, and Dexie Daulat. It was written by Mariami Tanangco-Domingo and directed by Tots Sanchez-Mariscal.

LET Results September 2012 – Elementary full list revealed!

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers on Monday, November 26, released the results of the licensure examination for elementary teachers.

Of the 50,997 examinees, 25,136 or 49.29% of those who took the exam for elementary teachers last September 30th passed.


The Licensure Exam for Teachers (L.E.T.) results for high school teachers full list revealed!

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Monday, November 26 that 20,834 secondary teachers out of 47,892 examinees (43.50%) passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.) administered last September 30.

Yesterday, November 26, Wowie de Guzman took Sharon in a stroll down memory lane when he was still a dancing heartthrob in the 90s in the episode called “Superstar ng Dancefloor.”

This afternoon, November 27 (Tuesday), William Martinez will share with the Megastar his life story in the episode titled “Super Tatays.”

This Wednesday, November 28, Sharon will interview a mother who fought for her two year-old child in the episode “Super Nanays.”

Capping the “Superstar Week” is the much-awaited guesting of the one and only Superstar of Philippine showbiz, Nora Aunor, in “Sharon Kasama Mo, Kapatid.” The special two-part episode will also feature the oldest Noranian and the most popular Superstar impersonator, Ate Gay.

The Nora Aunor Superstar Special will air this Thursday and Friday, November 29 and 30, at 4:30pm on TV5.

Well-acclaimed actors Carlo Aquino and Joem Bascon will portray bisexual lovers in the upcoming heavy dramaepisode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this Saturday (December 1).

Kevin (Carlo) and Alan (Joem) are both bisexuals who just met thru a casual sex. Soon they found themselves falling in love with one another and eventually entered in a relationship. Their affair was filled with happiness until they knew that Kevin was infected with HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) and his case was already inAIDS (acquired immune deficiency syndrome) condition. Later on, Kevin confessed to Alan that he acquired the virus because of engaging in casual hook ups with his clients. What will happen when Alan discovers that Kevin infected him with AIDS?

Will their life-threatening disease be more powerful than their love for each other? Together with Carlo and Joem in their “MMK” episode are Bodjie Pascua, Chanda Romero, Toby Alejar, Roeder Camañag, Laiza Comia, Kyra Custodio, Miguel Morales, and Leo Rialp. TV5 International continues expansion with Canada launch!

TV5 International continues to expand with the recent launch of channels Kapatid TV5 and Aksyon TV International in Canada.

Held last November 3 during the PNT Singing Idol 2102 Grand Finals in Vancouver, the launch introduced to the public the availability of TV5’s channels through the Turbo TV bar, an IPTV (Internet Protocol Television)-powered device that transforms regular TV into a smart TV.

The Turbo TV bar allows users the flexibility to download and install their favorite Apps from the Google Store. R.I.P. Celso Ad Castillo, 69!

Movie director, scriptwriter and actor Celso Ad Castillo passed away early morning of Monday, November 26. He was 69.

Castillo’s brother John said the veteran director was rushed to Pakil General Hospital on early Monday after complaining of chest pain. However, he was declared dead on arrival. According to reports, he passed away around 1:45 am due to heart attack. His remains was brought by his family to their home in Sinuluan, Laguna.

Celso Ad Castillo was known as a director in “Burlesk Queen,” “Ang Pinakamagandang Hayop Sa Balat Ng Lupa” and “Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara.”
