Following the success of “That’s My Tomboy,” “It’s Showtime” launched the pageant for gay men and became an instant hit among studio audience and netizens.

“I Am PoGay” made a buzz online even before it was officially launched after its teaser aired last week. Viewers tuned in to see the pageant’s first contestants last Saturday (Jan 18) as the hashtag #IAmPoGay landed the top spot on the list of Twitter’s trending topics worldwide.

An epic battle of hiphop moves and stunts is set this Saturday (Sept 14) in “It’s Showtime” as the three finalists of “Bida Kabarkada” face off in a bid to bring home the P1 million cash prize.

After ten weeks of breathtaking performances from groups hailing from different parts of the country, the top three groups, J. Crisis of Sampaloc, Maynila, X-Force Dance Company of Marikina, and Rizal Underground of Cainta, Rizal will have to impress the madlang people for one last time.

Billy Crawford is back after 2 weeks vacation!

Billy Crawford who left the Philippines te search for himself after his break-up with long time girlfriend Nikki Gil for the United States is now back in It’s Showtime!


Billy returned to ABS-CBN’s noontime program “It’s Showtime” on Thursday, and was given a warm welcome by his fellow hosts during the show’s opening banter.

This is what he said of his two weeks break:

“Isang napakalaking eye-opener sa akin [ang trip ko to Texas] dahil wala akong ginawa kundi makasama ang nanay at tatay ko, it’s always good “to go back to your roots, to where I started.”

“First and foremost, I’m really blessed. Ngayon ko lang talaga nalaman na blessed ako. I love you mom, I love you dad. I owe everything to you, guys. Lahat ng gagawin ko ngayon at lahat ng ginagawa ko, from now until the end, para sa mommy and daddy ko.”

Crwford looks great and it seems he has moved on from his break-up.

‘It’s Showtime’ wins rating games, now launches “Kalokalike Face 2”!

ABS-CBN’s “It’s Showtime” is now the most watched noontime show in the country as it zoomed to the top in May with an average national TV rating of 15.2%, compared to GMA’s “Eat Bulaga!” with only 12.9%, based on the latest data from Kantar Media.
The performance of “It’s Showtime” was boosted by its hit segment “Kalokalike,” which held its semi-finals for two weeks before its much-anticipated grand finals last Saturday (June 1).
The “Kalokalike” grand finals earned a notably high 26.8% national TV rating, while “Eat Bulaga” only managed 13.2%.
Fresh from its success, the Twitter-trending segment kicked off its new season called “Kalokalike Face 2” yesterday as it continues to search for the wackiest impersonators and look-alikes of local and international celebrities.

This Wednesday Anne Curtis is set to inspire through Holy Week drama on “It’s Showtime”!

The hosts of ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime” are set to inspire viewers through its Holy Week drama special that airs until Wednesday in time for the religious holidays.

From giving joy to its loyal ‘madlang people,’ the “It’s Showtime” hosts venture into acting to portray the inspiring stories of families who performed in the program’s family talent competition “Bida Kapamilya.”


In an interview with, Billy Crawford expressed anxiety over crying onscreen as he is more known for hosting and singing.

“I’m afraid and embarrassed. I don’t even cry around my family so we’ll see,” said Billy, who will play an aspiring priest in an episode with co-hosts Kuya Kim Atienza and Jugs Jugueta.

It will be aired back-to-back with the episode of Vice Ganda and Karylle where they take on the role of a married couple tomorrow (March 26). Anne Curtis, meanwhile, will star alongside Coleen Garcia in a moving father-daughter story that airs Wednesday (March 27).

Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, and Teddy Corpuz’s episode, which was aired yesterday (March 25), tackled the story of a man who is willing to give everything to the woman he loves even though she already has several children with a previous husband.

“It feels different. Our acting usually just involves ‘Sine Mo ‘To’ where it’s just all fun, comedy, and very light,” said Coleen.

ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime” is all set for a star-studded show this Saturday (Jan 26) for its opening salvo to introduce its all-new segments with exciting prizes for its loyal ‘madlang people.’

Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta will add glitter and unleash their inner crazy in the comedic skit “Sine Mo ‘To,” while Journey vocalist and Pinoy pride Arnel Pineda will render a world-class performance.

Don’t miss the relaunch of the “Arte Mo” segment and its new P1 million jackpot round with celebrity players from the cast of “Aryana,” “Kahit Puso’y Masugatan,” “Luv U,” “Angelito: Batang Ama,” and celebity mentors Joy Viado, Cacai Bautista, KitKat, and Sexbomb Girls.

Aside from this big change, “It’s Showtime” also opens a grand competition to all impersonators in “Kalokalike,” a search for people who can best imitate their popular showbiz idols based on appearance, behavior, and performance.

‘Madlang people’ also face a new challenge in “Makina Matibay,” which was already introduced this week, where a group of people competes with a machine to determine which of them does better certain mechanical tasks such as scraping coconuts and crushing ice.

Kuya Kim Atienza, meanwhile, will throw a blazing birthday bash on Thursday (Jan 24) as he battles with balladeers Dingdong Avanzado and Raymond Lauchenco in a singing showdown of 80’s hits.

New ABS-CBN Umaganda, Primetanghali Lineup effective Monday!

Kapamilya viewers can look forward to a fresh lineup of Kapamilya offerings during ABS-CBN’s daytime block starting Monday, january 14, as two new shows join the top-rating series topbilled by Jodi Sta. Maria.Starting Monday (January 14), “Be Careful With My Heart” and the reality cooking show “MasterChef: Pinoy Edition” will be joined by the Philippine edition of the popular game show “Minute to Win It” and the Korean drama “You’re Still the One.”


The latest in ABS-CBN’s “Asianovela” offerings tells the story of a married couple, Nelson and Susan, whose desperate need to free him from imprisonment puts their relationship to a test.

A woman from Nelson’s past, Sheryn, vows to help him be freed from jail, on the condition that he will marry her and fake his divorce with Susan.

The love triangle will unfold weekdays at 9:45 a.m. starting Monday. It will be followed by “MasterChef: Pinoy Edition” at 10:15 a.m.

Meanwhile, celebrities will join host Luis Manzano in the pilot week of “Minute to Win It”.

Comedienne-actress Ai Ai delas Alas will put her skills to the test on Monday, for a chance to win P1 million. Also set to try their luck next week are actress Cristine Reyes, singer Rico J. Puno, actress Maja Salvador, actor Zanjoe Marudo, comedienne K Brosas, at Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup.

Like its American counterpart – the game show has been franchised in 40 countries so far – “Minute to Win It” will have contestants take part in a series of challenges that utilize everyday items seen at home, in school or at the office.

Each challenge should be completed in less than a minute. The increasing difficulty of the challenges corresponds to a bigger cash prize every round. The goal: the jackpot prize of P1 million.

“Minute to Win It” will air weekday mornings at 11 a.m., starting Monday. The game show will be followed by “Be Careful with My Heart”.

Now on its new 11:45 a.m. timeslot, the Kapamilya “kilig-serye” continues to tell the story of aspiring flight attendant Maya (Sta. Maria), who leaves the province for Manila to pursue her dreams.

Her life plan takes a detour when she becomes the maid of the family of single dad and businessman Richard Lim (Yap), for whom she later develops romantic feelings.

The noontime variety program “It’s Showtime“, meanwhile, will air at 12:30 p.m. starting next week.

It’s Showtime ‘Bida Kapamilya Round 2’ Starts Monday!

Celebrities will share the spotlight with Filipino families in the more exciting and more intense ‘Bida Kapamilya Round 2’ for the new season of now leading Kapamilya noontime show “It’s Showtime” that will start on Monday (November 5).
The popular talent portion relaunch, which reworked the idea from the grand finals of its first season, will have celebrities to guide and train the contestant families for the entire season until they reach the grand finals.
Each day this week, two celebrity mentors will give a ‘sample’ of their talent before studio and TV audiences. Introduced last Monday (October 29) were 6Cyclemind vocalist Tutti Caringal and theater and TV actor Robert Sena, the celebrity mentor of Gollayan family who was declared the grand champion of the first ‘Bida Kapamilya.’ Aira Bermudez of Sexbomb and comedienne Cacai Bautista were also revealed as mentors yesterday (October 30).
‘Bida Kapamilya Round 2’ is just one of the many surprises and segments in the new season of “It’s Showtime,” which is now the number one noontime show nationwide according to data from Kantar Media. The Kapamilya noontime show hit a national TV rating of 19.7% against GMA’s “Eat Bulaga” that only got 14.5% last Saturday (October 27).
“It’s Showtime” also proved its continued strong performance versus “Eat Bulaga” as it also won the ratings game from Monday to Friday last week with 15% vs 14.8% (Oct 22); 16% vs 14.3% (October 23); 15.9% vs 12.9% (October 24); 19.8% vs 15.2% (October 25); and 20.9% vs 15% (October 26).
The new season serves as a back-to-back follow-up treat to the program’s third anniversary celebration, which concluded in a talent showdown that resulted in a triple tie among hosts Anne Curtis and Karylle, Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz, and Billy Crawford and Vhong Navarro, who all got a perfect score of 10 from the judges.

“In fact, It’s Showtime (yesterday) kicked off the launch of its new segments starting with the multi-talent showdown among Filipino families following the inter-town grand finals last April 28.

“The viewing public can look forward to the launch of new entertainment segments in the coming days as ABS-CBN continues on its mission to bring fun and hope to the Filipinos here and in TFC markets worldwide.”

It’s Showtime Unkabogable Party Party Bus Ride, Warmly Received by Madlang People!

It’s like watching “Showtime” on the road as hosts of the hit morning talent show sang the theme song and fooled around with their hilarious banters while roving around the metro aboard the Unkabogable Party Party Bus recently to drumbeat ABS-CBN’s upcoming noontime show “It’s Showtime” premiering this Monday, February 6.

Vhong Navarro, Anne Curtis, Vice Ganda, Billy Crawford, Karylle, Kim Atienza, Jugs, and Teddy together with “Showtime” hurados and now hosts Jhong Hilario, Ryan Bang, and Coleen Garcia, went to Brgy. Santolan in Pasig City, and Brgy. Nangka in Marikina City for a quick mobile meet and greet and gave out premium “It’s Showtime” merchandise such as shirts, fans, stickers, and baller IDs.

Despite the scorching heat, the crowd waited patiently just to see their favorite Kapamilya stars. All efforts paid off as the hosts gamely interacted with them and had fun with them under the heat of the sun. On their way to these destinations, the hosts also endured the risks of getting hit by electricity wires, tree branches, and even overpass bridges they pass by as they were sitting on top of the bus.

The bus also drove along Commonwealth Ave. to EDSA Monumento to the surprise of by standers along these roads as they didn’t expect to see the “It’s Showtime” hosts in person. Hosts again gave out merchandise to the madlang people.

As they return to ABS-CBN compound, the employee madlang people warmly welcomed them back while waving “It’s Showtime” flaglets.

Overall, the event was a huge success and it even created a buzz online as it trended on Twitter, both worldwide and on the Philippines alone.
