The new show of Boy and Kris  tandem will tackle different topics worthy of discussion and will air only for 15 minutes.
Aquino and Abunda started as hosts of GMA-7’s Startalk before they transferred to ABS-CBN and eventually host the network’s own showbiz-oriented talk show The Buzz. They also hosted daily morning talk show Boy and Kris in 2008. The following year, the Aquino and Abunda tandem returned with the primetime entertainment news program SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon.
After about 4 years, the Boy and Kris duo will return on primetime television with Aquino & Abunda Tonight. The show is included in the contract of Kris Aquino when she renewed ties with ABS-CBN last month.
Kris Aquino is currently hosting the morning show Kris TV while Boy Abunda has Buzz ng Bayan and The Bottomline. It is not clear though whether Boy will leave the late night news cast Bandila and his trending segment Ikaw Na! to focus on his show with Kris.
Aquino & Abunda Tonight premieres Monday, February 10 after The Legal Wife and before The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles.

Go na ‘to!“

kris mrt

Kris was on her way to an event on a product she is endorsing and she waited for 45 minutes in her car as the vehicle she was riding did not move at all and before that it took them 2 hours to drive from Paseo de Roxas going to Guadalupe. That is then the time she decided to take a risk and ride the MRT.

Kris said:

“Sinabi sa kin ‘nung isa sa PSG (Presidential Security Group) na babae, ‘ma’am, ok lang po kasi ‘yung first three (coaches) puro babae lang po dun so pwede kayo dun.’ So yun! And then bumili na ng ticket tapos sumakay na. Go go go!”

On the people she rode with:

“Ang bait nila. Kasi they made space for me talaga. Yun ang naramdaman ko kasi tinatanong nila ‘gano ka-traffic ba para mapasakay ka?’ Sabi ko, ‘dalawang oras eh. Imagine sa Buendia ako nanggaling. Paseo de Roxas pa-Buendia. Two hours to get to Guadalupe! Ano ba yun! Sabi ko, ay naku, bahala na si Batman. Go na ‘to!“

And the positive side of it:

“Naaliw sila! Tapos sabi ko, ‘picture tayo!’ Tapos lahat sila sabay-sabay naglabasan ng camera. It’s so cute.”

And the convenience:

“Ang saya! Nakaka-tao, di ba? At yun ang gusto ko. Parang sabi ko nga, ang traffic, walang pinipili talaga. Na-realize ko ‘yung convenience nung MRT.”

This is what comes out of their negotiations, an official statement from ABS-CBN:

ABS CBN fully understands Kris’ desire to be the best mother to Bimby and Josh. On the other hand, ABS-CBN values Kris as an iconic talent and a respected national media personality. Both parties recognize her responsibilities to the public, her co-workers and to the advertisers.

First two slots in “Pilipinas Got Talent 4” semis taken by Chaeremon Basa and The Miss Tress!

Flair tender Chaeremon Basa and transgender singing trio The Miss Tress ruled the first quarterfinals results night and advanced to the semi-finals of the country’s biggest and grandest talent-reality show “Pilipinas Got Talent 4.”

PGT Semi1

The 16-year-old talent from Bacolod, who showcased his leveled up flair tending skills during last Saturday’s (Apr 6) first quarterfinal performance night, topped the nationwide votes with 28.09%, thereby securing the first out of 12 semi-finalist slots.

The singing transgenders from the Bulacan, on the other hand, won the unanimous judges’ votes after competing against The Security and Escort Battalion Combo of the Philippine Army in the battle for survival round.

Chaeremon and The Miss Tres will advance to the semi-finals and battle ten other semi-finalists who have yet to be named in the coming weeks. “Pilipinas Got Talent 4” proved to be the biggest edition yet as it welcomed more diverse acts, conducted auditions online and abroad, and created a quarterfinal round that will further intensify the screening process.

The show created a buzz online recently after The Miss Tres and All in One Crew trended worldwide on micro-blogging site Twitter. This Saturday (Apr 13), black light dancers Zilent Overload, flagtwirlers Si.Co.Gu., acrobats Eyx-Point, boy crooner John Neil Roa, singer Eumee Lyn Capile, and belly dancer with sword Sundee Viñas will battle it out for the viewers’ and judges’ votes in the second quarterfinal performance night.

Who will join Chaeremon and The Miss Tres in the semi-finals? Don’t miss the “Pilipinas Got Talent 4,” hosted by Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford, every Saturday, after “MMK,” and every Sunday, after “Rated K” on ABS-CBN. Tweet your thoughts on the show using the hashtage #PGT4.

Aside from welcoming a variety of new acts this season, PGT 4 also proved to be the biggest PGT edition yet as the show conducted worldwide and online auditions. Among those who auditioned abroad via TFCkat, two of them made it through namely Russel Figueroa of Canada and Cris Bernardo of Dubai.

Who will make it as the first set of semi-finalists?

The competition is definitely tougher now as PGT enters the quarterfinals. Judge Ai Ai Delas Alas was first to express how high her expectations are on all 36 quarterfinalists. In a VTR, she quipped “Lahat sila ineexpect naming maglevel up.”

Meanwhile, since voting season is about to begin for PGT, judges Kris Aquino and Freddie “FMG” Garcia appealed to the viewers to vote for the acts that deserve to make it through the next round of the competition.

“Kung favorite niyo at gusto niyo talaga manalo, gastusan sana ninyo,” Kris said.

“Sa inyong boboto, sana piliin niyo talaga kung sino may talent,” added FMG.
