Master of Ilusion Live at the Resorts World Manila this June 13-17!

A pretty woman who goes through a circle of fire, a magician bolted inside a box with two blades of a gigantic saw cutting it into pieces until he pops out unscathed, astonishing acts of illusion that make people and beasts disappear, plus other amazing sleight-of-hand tricks and treats.

These magical acts may be considered kid stuff that can easily impress and captivate young people, yet the sense of excitement, suspense and awe they inspire are the same elements that bring together the whole family in a rare, enjoyable moment of relaxation and entertainment.

This template of the ultimate in family entertainment is out to thrill Pinoy fans when Masters of Illusion Live!, an internationally-acclaimed magic act, comes to Manila for a debut appearance on June 13 to 17 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater at Resorts World Manila in Pasay City. Two matinee performances are also scheduled at 2 p.m. on June 16 and 17.

To be presented by Ovation Productions, the touring production presents an extravaganza of exotic animals, beautiful dancers, astounding escapologists, comedic tricks and quick-change artists — with lots of audience participation.

The stunning showcase of world-class magic, comedy, music and entertainment will parade a cast of over half-a-dozen performers who will attempt to execute a variety of magic stunts and tricks —- from extricating themselves from fiery boxes and blocks of ice to pulling off illusions that make people, birds and snakes disappear.

Expected to be an instant hit is the assortment of large-scale acts by the award-winning husband-and-wife team of Mark Kavin and Leigh Jinger.

Another major attraction is Great James, featuring Kevin James, who will perform six segments filled with magic and humor.

An act that will definitely hold the crowd spellbound is the elaborate set of Joaquin Ayala and Tanya, the most impressive of which is Blades of Doom, in which Ayala will be bolted inside a box, with two blades of a gigantic saw cutting it into pieces and the magician ultimately appearing elsewhere in the audience.

Another show-stopper features Farrrell Dillon, who will do eye-popping tricks, including his signature Thimbles and Cards as well as Straight Jacket.

The show shifts to a different level of excitement in The Voice of Magic, wherein the singing magician Darren Romeo performs several illusions, singing through each of them. He is also expected to mimic singers Celine Dion, Diana Ross, Ricky Martin and Louis Armstrong.

Among other cast members are Ed Alonzo, Tom Burgoon, Jason Byrne, Tony Clark, Danny Cole, Brett Daniels, Dana Daniels, Michael Finney, Joseph Gabriel, Christopher Hart, Katalin and Levent.
