Willie Revillame plans to have a TV comeback in 2014!

Willie Revillame plans to go back to hosting his own TV show next year!

Willie Revillame became a popular variety show host when he started Wowowee in ABS-CBN and when he moved to  TV5,  he renamed it Willing Willy, then changed to Wowowillie after a revamp. Then the popularity of his show waned.

Now he wants to return next year to a more populat network where he can capture more adience. But the big question is “Are ther any takers from the big 2 networks?”

The options now open for Willie are GMA’s news-oriented channel, GMA News TV, and the two government stations, PTV-4 and IBC-13.

Will he still get a big audience share in these networks?

What do you think?

YES! covers Celebrity Parties of JLC, Willie Revillame, Jackie Forster and more!

It seems that showbizlandia is up to some cheers and toasting as YES! gathered over 400 photos from the revelries of celebrities and their friends in its November issue.

Raising the curtain for this series of parties is Willie Revillame, who inaugurated his Wil Tower Mall last September. It was attended by people close to Willie and they have big names to boot – former First Lady Imelda Marcos; former Vice President Noli de Castro; former Senate President Manny Villar, who owns Vista Land and Lifescapes, Inc., the company which Willie ventured with for this project; and producer Mother Lily Monteverde, to name a few. Willie’s mother, Myrna Buendia, and his daughter, Meryll Soriano, were also both present to give their support.Willie attributed the mall’s successful opening to his staff. The mall, according to the TV host, was not just for the VIPs “but, of course, sa mga empleyado ko na nagtatrabaho behind the success of this mall.” He pointed out that this project was a product of his hard work. “Galing po ito sa pawis, sa hirap—isang mikropono na nagbigay ng saya,”Willie, who turned almost emotional at one point, said in his closing speech.

The celebration’s program, which was hosted by Tessa Prieto-Valdes and Tim Yap, capped with a bang as the Asia’s Songbird, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, surprised the guests as she came out and sang “I Will Survive” after Willie delivered his speech.

YES! also features the 30th birthday celebrations of  John Lloyd Cruz and the birthday bashes of Zanjoe Marudo, Ogie Alcasid, Priscilla Meirelles, Scarlet Jenine Mago (daughter of Pia Guanio), and Kiko Pangilinan. Celebrity parties aside, YES! also takes us deeper into the saga of Jackie Forster and her children with Benjie Paras, Andre and Kobe. Jackie also opened her Kuala Lumpur home to the YES! team as she narrated how she and husband Michael met and built a family.

The November issue of YES! Magazine is now available in newsstands, bookstores, convenience stores, and supermarkets nationwide. A digital edition of YES! is also available for download on your mobile device.

Willie Revillame will not renew “Wowowillie” contract, TV5 responds!

A few days ago rumor has it that TV5 declined to renew Willie Revillame‘s contract with them since he allegedly demanded a hefty sum of money for the renewal!

And now, Willie shoots down the rumor by saying he is no longer renewing his contract for “Wowowillie” with the Kapatid network.

This is what Willie said:

“Ang last day of my contract ay October 15. Maybe October 12 will be the last show ng Wowowillie.”

Willie said that he will be taking a break from his showbiz commitments for a few months, a year, or even longer:

“So, hindi po para malungkot. Ganyan talaga ang buhay. Kasi kailangan ko rin ng time.”

Willie also revealed that he submitted a resignation letter last May 17:

“Yun lang po para matapos na ang haka-haka.”

TV5 released the following statement on his resignation:

“We respect the decision of Mr. Willie Revillame to retire upon the expiry of his contract with TV5. We wish him well in his new pursuits.”

Do you think there is truth to the rumors?
