The 24-year-old Arida, from Laguna, she studied at the University of the Philippines with Chemistry degree. She brought home the crown last night as it celebrates its 50th year of Bb. Pilipinas at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, she will represent the country in this year’s Miss Universe pageant.

“Sta. Niña” wins big at the1st ASEAN International Film Festival – List of Winners revealed!

The first-ever ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA) was held at the Malaysian city of Kuching from March 28 to 30, 2013 featuring more than 100 films from the Southeast Asian Region and as far as Hong Kong, USA, India, Russia, and Australia.

Sta. Niña from the Philippines won the Best Picture – Drama, Best Actress for Allessandra de Rossi and Best Supporting Actress for Anita Linda .

MYX Music Awards 2013 – Gloc 9 and Sarah Geronimo wins big, winners list bared!

Fliptop artist Abra, Rapper Gloc 9, Kapuso star Julie Anne San Jose and Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimoemerged as the big winners in the 2013 MYX Music Awards.

Gloc 9 bagged three trophies while Abra, Julie Anne San Jose and Sarah Geronimo each went home with two in recently-concluded MYX Music Awards 2013.

The top plum, however, went to Abra for winning Favorite Music Video of the Year.

Yeng Constantino won Favorite Female Artist while Christian Bautista, who recently signed a three-year contract with GMA Network, won Favorite Male Artist.
